Introducing “Eloise”

The amazing elephants are the largest land animal on earth and are loyal to their herd. Did you know that elephants are highly sensitive and caring animals, and have been observed to express grief, compassion, altruism and play.

They perform greeting ceremonies when a friend that has been away for some time returns to the group, and they sometimes ‘hug’ by wrapping their trunks together.

According to the Chinese concept of feng shui, elephants represent wisdom, protection, strength, and good luck. In Hinduism, the elephant is a symbol of Ganesha, the god of luck, fortune, and protection.

This dresser was cleaned well, scuff sanded and given a base coat in Dixie Belles Silk in the color Anchor.

Eloise was hand painted in all Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paints:
~ Gravel Road
~ Hurricane Gray
~ Midnight Sky
~ Caviar
~ Coffee Bean
~ Chocolate
~ Daisy
~ Barn Red

The top was sanded down to original wood and the stained with No Pain Gel Stain in Walnut, dry brushed with Midnight Sky and then sealed with Gloss Clear Coat.

Can’t forget the drawer sides. They were paint washed with Caviar and distressed. Then Dixie Belle Mousse in Diamond was used to give a bling to the sides!
